Here are a few tips on how to use rugs in different ways
when decorating:
- Use a rug as a table runner or cloth.
- Drape one over a sofa.
- Recycle a damaged rug to upholster a chair, or make pillows from the
material.
- Softer styles can drape over chairs to tone down harsh lines and hide
any damage.
- Hang a rug on a wall to create a large piece of artwork (sew a rod onto
it for hanging).
- Put a needlepoint one on an ottoman as a throw--it looks great while
protecting the furniture.
- Utilize them as runners up stairways.
